He is missed

I learned about Caleb's passing when the school year started in Fort Collins and I was shocked and saddened to hear what had happened to him. Yet, the one thing I was not was surprised to learn how selflessly he acted. Caleb was a very sweet and sensitive young man and so courageous as well. I find it hard to believe I will never see him smiling in class again. I am so sorry for your loss...

It is a sad thing when a life passes away and though I only knew him for half a year he was a great friend. I hope he lives in a better place now and that those who killed him don't go to that place. May he rest in peace and live eternally in the afterlife.

Our family has kept the Witty family in our prayers. Even though we did not know Caleb or the family, the story is very touching but breaks our heart. Just know that Caleb is with God and is in a safe place watching all of you. We are never ready to let our children go, especially due to a ruthless crime. Just know the people responsible will have their day in court, and one day will have to face God with their actions. Keep your head held high, and live every day in memory of Caleb. Caleb is beyond an hero, he is an inspiration.
