I didn't know Caleb very long but the short time I did know him I learned that he was a very funny & sweet youngman. He had an infectious smile & the biggest heart. He was always willing to love when someone needed to be loved. I remember feeling really down one day & he gave me a hug to help me feel better. His life was cut wat too short but he is where we all want to go someday. He no longer has to worry or feel pain. Im sorry for your loss. God be with all of you.

I didn't know Caleb, but I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the Witty family. I did know Wes and Nikki Witty, and I will keep all of you in my prayers as you mourn the loss of this wonderful heroic person. This was a senseless act and it angers me. I hope that you will find peace in your hearts eventually, and remember the good times all of you had with Caleb.

I would first like to express my deepest sympathy to the Witty family for the loss of your son, grandson, brother, and cousin. Words can not express the pain you are going through and I would like to let you know that you have my thoughts and prayers in your time of need. I've never had the pleasure of meeting your loved one, but from the words of others I believe he was a loving, caring individual whos time was cut too short. Death is a time for celebration, but for our own selfish reasons we want our loved ones to stay with us. Caleb would much rather keep company with our Lord and watch over you from above. He does not want you to cry, but rejoice and celebrate his homegoing. Your loved one no longer has to live in this troublesome world we live in today. He is free from all the troubles and stress, but will still remain with you in spiritual form. This story has touched me so deeply and I pray that justice is served. Caleb has fullfilled his goal on this earth and now our Heavenly Father has better plans for him. Caleb was truly a HERO and has set a great example for those that loved him.

Sincerest Sympathy to Jennifer, Makalea, Brandon and Caleb's entire family. I am Reno's sister. I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and praying for you. Just know that peace and comfort can only come from our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
He is our great Comforter. He will hold you in His arms and carry you until you can get through this!
I lost my 27 year old son in an accident and know the pain and loss and what you are all going through during these dark hours.
You are so blessed to have a son like Caleb, who lovingly cared for Makalea and protected her at all costs to himself.
I will be lifting you all up tonight, tomorrow and in the days ahead, praying for God's presence to fill your hearts.
Cookie

My sincere heartfelt sympathies to the the Witty Family. I did not know Caleb, but I read the story via internet as I sometimes keep up on the happenings from my hometown. I am saddened to hear that such a young life has been taken and to know that it was becasue he was protecting a loved one. From all I have read about this young man this was not just a common act of unselfishness. It was his nature. May God's love comfort you during this time and I will keep you in my prayers.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. What a senseless and tragic act for such a wonderful young man.
I believe God has a plan for everyone, and that your son/nephew/brother/grandson, had a special meaning in Heaven on the day he was called home. From all I have heard and read, he was a very special young man.
May God continue to keep you all wrapped in his arms and help you through this difficult time, now and forever.
Caleb may be gone, but will never be forgotten and will always be with you in spirit.
God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear of your son's passing! What a terrible and senseless tragedy. There is nothing more painful than the loss of your child. We lost our 17 year old son in May 2010. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers as you start your grief journey. May the love of family and friends and the Grace of God help you face each day.
