A true hero |

May you find peace within the strength of the Lord. Caleb was more than a man than any of us will ever know. This young man was full of life and did not deserve to be hurt over something so evil. I pray for your family and friends of this hero. Caleb would of graduated with my son in the spring but instead he has graduated to a higher place. God Bless your family.

Caleb was in my 7th grade science class, and he was a joy to be around. No matter what was going on, he always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He was always excited about school, and willing to help others who needed it. I believe that the world is worse off for the loss of Caleb. My prayers are with your family, and I hope you will be able to find comfort in the memories of this generous, loving young man.

Sad and broken hearted |

Caleb was such an amazing boy. Last I saw him he was just the same as he had always been which was sweet and caring. He was a great friend to my nephew Charlie while they went to school together. My heart sits hard and aches knowing that he is gone. Tragic that he is gone too soon. He will forever be in the hearts of those that knew him. My heart and prayers go out to your family. The world is a darker place without Caleb in it. Be safe in the arms of the Lord
I am so sorry this has happened to your family. Last I saw Caleb he was but a small child, and in some ways for me, I will always remember him as such. I pray that the persons responsible for this are found, tried, and punished for their callousness.
Caleb was truly an amazing soul to lay down his life for his sister, and he is now in a better place. My prayers are with you and your family. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

I am a Decatur native ,who awoke to this tragic news. I cannot imagen the grief and shock your family is experiencing at this time. I can tell you our community is grie stricken by this young heros death, I am pesonally outraged by the person who has taken this young man's life. May god take you and keep you in his comfort at this time. But know that you raised a true hero.

I am so sorry and saddened by what happened to Caleb. I can only imagine the loss his family is feeling. I only knew Caleb when he was a younger child, but from what I have heard, he was truly a hero and a beautiful person in every way. I hope that all of his family and friends can find some sort of peace through all of this tragedy. Lots of prayers and love for you.

My heart goes out to the whole family. I am so sorry that this happened to you, and to him. He sounds like an extradinary young man. I can't help but feel angry when I think about the type of person that did this senseless act. Perhaps peace can be found in remembering how Caleb was nothing like this terrible person.
